There isn’t much strategy to level 623 when starting out aside from making whatever matches that can free the pets from their cages, and trying to shift the board downward. As the board shifts down, try to free all the pets on the board from their pet cages. Two of the cages will be unmatchable because there are no same-color blocks on the board. All this means is that you must use an alternative method of freeing them, such as your block buster booster or one of the bombs on the board.

Level 623 Cheat #2: Play it smart when you reach the caged blocks

Halfway down the board, the blocks all shift and become caged blocks that are difficult to get past. Make smart moves at this point, because the last thing you want is for the board to become stagnant and for you to lose the level. These lower rows can be used together with the rows above the caged blocks to chip away at the cages from two directions.
